Sunflower hotel has another name in Vietnamese - Huong Duong 1. The hotel is very popular with budget and independent travellers. Located in the main street of Cat Ba Island, Sunflower 1 offers 60 rooms in a 7 storey building. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As mentioned in the Lonely Planet guide, "Sunflower hotel has an open-air billiards bar on the seventh floor rooftop with a great view of the harbour."

Sunflower 1 is one of the best hotels in Catba. The hotel offers 60 international standard rooms with full amenities. The lobby is well decorated and the restaurant is large and serves both Vietnamese and European food. There is an elevator.
